Former Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi has been cast in the widely publicised film The Woman King.

 
The American historic film is set for release later in the year, in September. It also stars South Africa’s breakout artist Thiso Mbedu, who made her mark in the cut throat American film acting industry last year, by acting in the award winning The Underground Railroad.

Zozibini will be showcasing her acting skills alongside talented John Boyega and Viola Davis. Since her reign was at the beginning of the global pandemic Covid-19 , her opportunities to capitalise on her title seemed limited. However, it seems it’s never too late to own your throne. She also featured in a beauty brand’s television campaign.
Other South African takentefeatured on the film include Makgotso Monyemorathoe and Cebelihle Mbambo.
