Speaking to Nounoche, Quiteria’s brother Vincete Kekana said the fashion showcase would have been what Quiteria would have wanted for himself if he was still alive.

“Even on his last days, he pushed us to continue working,” he said.

“He would not have wanted us to just give up and be sad. We have also decided to keep the studio open and work towards the vision.”

“We have been working as a family for over a decade together and we have been part of the vision. All we wish to do is honour him and continue the Quiteria Atelier legacy.”

The showcase will take place at the Mercedes Benz Fashion week in Kigali, Rwanda.
