Who is Chris? 

Christel-Diego Tshibangu also known as BigChris is a Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP) artist and the co-owner of The Bomb Beauty. I became the co-founder of the Bomb Beauty when we converted an existing company known as Exquisite hair by Zandi from a hair salon to an aesthetic parlor after undertaking several cosmetology trainings. What is Scalp Micro Pigmentation and how different is it from a tattoo? 

SMP technicians undergo professional training and their focus is to  create an illusion of a full head of  hair. SMP Is Not A Tattoo as some would like to believe. We use a specific type of equipment and ink and is expressly created to not discolor like a regular tattoo ink. It also doesn’t go as far into the skin as a regular tattoo and the SMP pigment expands differently in the skin. 

It has everything to do with restoration! Being bald can affect one’s confidence and it not only brings backs smiles it revives one’s youthfulness. I  replicate  hair follicles by adding density recreating hairline even covering of scars for  burnt scalp in the most considered natural manner. 

How safe is it and how long does it last?

It’s the safest process in the hand of a good technician against baldness as it’s known to be non-surgical  but cosmetic treatment. We work on the scalp and there is no blood drawn during the procedure unlike hair transplant. It’s an expensive treatment but at the same time not  an expensive treatment considering its permanent results. The first session is the elimination of baldness. We have the second and third sessions and depending on scalp recovery we are looking at 6 to 8 years of having a permanent hairline. 

We import the best machines and pigments that don’t cause discoloration and not forgetting the best size needles to drop a dote of pigment with a resemblance of hair follicle and that takes professionalism, passion and mental focus.  

The procedure can take 3 to 4 hours of replicating over 10 0000 hair follicles depending on the size of the scalp and scalps are charged based on the patches. Multiple sessions can be caused by the condition of a person’s scalp
