Although they have not split, the statement confirmed that Bongani Mahosana who is affectionately known as Murdah Bongz is in the process of launching his own solo career.
“The only change which does not affect the duo is that Murdah has rebranded himself from Murdah to Mörda . This is because he is preparing to launch his solo career as a DJ, but still remains part and parcel of Black Motion,” the statement continues. They have refuted the claims this is not the first time that the pair raised eyebrows about going separate ways.
Last year when they released their studio album which was titled Healers: The Last Chapter, everyone thought they were splitting due to the title of the project. The award-winning duo also revealed that they are working on an album together and Thabo Mabogwane is also venturing into other business aspects which will be announced once they have solidified.
“We trust that this dispels any rumours or uncertainties from our fans, industry peers, promoters, brand agencies or any future events we are booked at. Lastly, we would like say a big Thank You all our supporters for their endless love,” the statement concluded.
