This past weekend, Salomon gifted me a pair of XT-6s, and I can’t lie my excitement levels shot straight through the roof. I’ve been seeing these shoes everywhere lately, on people whose style I genuinely admire, and I’ve always wondered what the hype felt like
on foot. Now that I finally have a pair, I can’t wait to test them out properly this weekend.

If you know me, you know I’m a full-time athleisure girl at heart. Give me tracksuits, gym tights, running tops, that’s my uniform! It’s how I think, move, and exist. And with Hyrox training in full swing, comfort and function are currently the most beautiful words in the English language. So when I unboxed the XT-6s, it just made sense. A shoe designed for movement, but clean and stylish enough for everyday life? That’s me.

What makes this pair even more exciting is where Salomon is headed as a brand. For years, we’ve known them as the hiking and trail-running specialists, the people who take mountains personally. But they’ve officially stepped into a new chapter with their Invented ReInvented Sportstyle range. Think technical performance meets urban culture. Outdoor heritage meets street style. It’s a blend that feels fresh but also very necessary, especially now that fashion is leaning deeper into function, comfort, and authenticity.

The XT-6 is so effortlessly cool. Lightweight. Easy. That shoe you throw on and suddenly feel like you’ve unlocked a new version of yourself. I’ll be wearing mine to a sneaker event this weekend, the perfect place to debut them, and I’ve already started scrolling through Pinterest for outfit inspo because styling is not my strength, but this shoe is too clean to be disrespected. It deserves an outfit that tries.

The Invented ReInvented range will be available in limited quantities through Archive and salomonsports.co.za, so if you’re planning to get your hands on a pair, move with intention.
I love where the brand is going, from athletes to people like me who love movement, lifestyle, and clothes that can do both. And now that I finally have my XT-6s? I get the hype and I can’t wait to create my own story in them.
