Patrick Mavros Launches the Kolisi Cuff

celebration of unity, ubuntu, and the spirit of Africa

Some stories are not crafted, they are lived. So it was when the Mavros family sent a Zimbabwe Bangle to Siya Kolisi as a Father’s Day gift last year. What they didn’t know was that the gift would arrive on his birthday—an unplanned but deeply meaningful coincidence. There was no publicity, no grand reveal. Just a simple gesture of admiration from one African family to another.

From that serendipitous moment, a bond was born. A connection grounded in shared values: family, craftsmanship, legacy, and an unwavering belief in the promise of Africa. That bond has since grown into something tangible, powerful, and beautiful—the Kolisi Cuff.

Designed by Patrick Mavros Jnr., the Kolisi Cuff is more than just jewellery. Drawing inspiration from the Kolisi Foundation logo and the colours of the South African flag, the piece pulses with purpose. It is a symbol of strength, unity, and hope, crafted with precision, care, and a deep respect for heritage.

From London to Victoria Falls, the relationship between the Kolisis and the Mavros family has flourished. Siya Kolisi and his team have hosted a Kolisi Foundation event at the Patrick Mavros flagship store in London, and more recently, made a heartfelt journey to the Victoria Falls boutique in Zimbabwe. This collaboration, steeped in authenticity and purpose, now takes form in silver, becoming an heirloom that transcends borders and celebrates African excellence.

And doing good is at the heart of the Kolisi Cuff. With 10% of every cuff sold going directly to the Kolisi Foundation, each purchase contributes to meaningful change. The Foundation is dedicated to creating equal opportunities for South African children and families, working across education, sport, food security, gender-based violence, and dignity.

Wearing the Kolisi Cuff is more than a style statement, it’s a declaration of solidarity, a commitment to uplift others, and a quiet rebellion against indifference.

As Nelson Mandela once said, “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

The Kolisi Cuff is that difference, legacy made wearable.

Made in Africa, for Africa and the world, the Kolisi Cuff is now available at select Patrick Mavros boutiques and online at www.patrickmavros.com.
