Mzansi Magic is continuing with their mandate to ensure that their viewers are entertained by beefing up their content.

The popular TV channel has introduced another prime time drama series called Isifiso that will air every Monday starting from 4 July at 8pm.

According to the popular channel, the TV show that is led by an all-star cast which includes the likes of Nelisa Mchunu, Sjava, Melusi Yeni, Zinhle Mabena and Ntando Mncube, will be nothing but a crowd puller. 

They further revealed that the show follows the life of a woman living under her younger sister’s shadow, envying her seemingly-perfect life – but not all is what it seems, as she quickly and tragically learns. 

Speaking to Nounouche, Shirley Adonisi, Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net said Monday nights on Mzansi Magic are known and loved for bringing thrilling dramas that keep viewers intrigued, week after week. 

“We’re glad to keep this slot dynamic and of a high standard, and Isifiso is the latest show that we trust will resonate with our viewers. It’s fantastic that DStv Compact subscribers will get in on the action from the get-go,” she said. 

“We’re bringing new shows that feature known faces while also unearthing new talent – it’s a good balance of keeping actors’ careers growing and opening up the industry, all while carrying on with our mission as Africa’s best storyteller.”

The channel further revealed to Nounouche that the show will be filled with shocking twists, betrayal and greed and actress Nelisa Mchunu will take on the hot seat of leading the series playing the role of  Bazothini, a woman who only wants the approval of her mother and those around her, and will stop at almost nothing to get it.
