Media personality, Minnie Dlamini, and her estranged husband, Quinton Jones, have poured cold water on the claims that the reason behind their divorce is because Minnie cheated.

The couple that announced their divorce earlier this year, leaving everyone shocked, released a joint statement and revealed that they are aware of the rumours circulating regarding their divorce.

“Without saying much more, all the allegations made are false, damaging, and malicious,” the statement reads.

“Fabrications of such a damaging manner are both unnecessary and hurtful in a matter that is already sensitive to us. Our shared priority is to remain friends and co-parent our son.”

The pair whose divorce battle has not yet been finalised in the statement pleaded with the public to give them space to deal with the whole process privately.

“We kindly ask that you allow us to go through our private processes without dragging ourselves, our families, and our loved ones into baseless rumours and social media sensationalism. These baseless rumours affect not only us, but our child,” the statement continues.

According to the pair whose marriage was widely publicised and televised, they’ll be taking legal action against the blogger who reported the news.

“Considering the nature of the allegations made, legal action will be taken against the relevant parties,” the statement concludes.

Minnie and Quinton tied the knot in 2017 and shared their wedding celebration with the country in a three-part series titled: Becoming Mrs Jones. 

Announcing their separation earlier this year also in a joint statement, the pair said in the last 2 years, their family experienced incredible joy and devastating loss at the same time, and despite their best efforts to absorb the changes in motion, the emotional burden and the post-traumatic distress of their loss outweighed their will together and after months of separation and consultation with their family and a counsellor, they decided to officially file for divorce.
