Major League DJz Launches First Fashion Collaboration with Global e-tailer boohooMAN

Online global retailer boohooMAN.com is set to launch their first-ever collaboration with twin brothers and South African dynamic duo, Major League DJz.

Fusing fashion and music, boohooMAN & Major League DJz have meticulously designed a range of RTW pieces drawing inspiration from their everyday wardrobe expanding from the roots of boohooMAN’s streetwear attire. The collection offers a range of interchangeable sets, oversized fits, core accessories with bold slogans, relaxed silhouettes, and favourable denim.

The twin power duo born Bandile and Banele Mbere are crafting the sound of the future with an exciting blend of immersive African sonics and futuristic production. Taking the sound of ‘amapiano’ into spaces that others cannot reach, Major League DJz have disrupted the African music scene since 2012 with a cult following across Africa, the UK and the US. As well as pushing the sound via their live global Balcony Mix’s, the brothers keen eye for fashion is prevalent across their social media platforms.

Typically seen wearing complimentary looks to one another, the boohooMAN collection was designed with interchangeable pieces in mind, reflective of the boy’s distinctive oversize style. Pieces can be worn simultaneously and individually throughout the range.

Consisting of 54 compatible pieces, the collection offers a wide range of complimentary hi/lo items with a juxtaposition of bright colors and head-to-toe monochrome looks to reflect the palette. The graphic t-shirts give us a sense of the duo’s individual personalities, highlighting the ‘No Request’ slogans and phrases referring back to their music and culture with a mix of streetwear styles.

Denim is over-sized with an exaggerated flare or shredded with a skeleton applique print that can be worn as a co-ord or a standalone piece. Statement shirts take the lead in the collection adorned with graphic prints on check fabric. Bold motif designs appear on the summer nights monochrome shirts accompanied with longer length shorts with cargo detail.

Creating raw yet highly captivating imagery, the campaign was shot in the heart of New York inspired by fashion candid paparazzi-style images showcasing the versatility of the collection. As an integral part of the campaign, the duo played a live Balcony Mix set, DJing along the Hudson River with the iconic city backdrop which will be released on YouTube wearing the slogan tees as part of the launch.
