Kyalami 9 Hour: Where Thrills Meet Elegance

There’s a thrill in the air as Kyalami 9 Hour returns for its second edition, ready to elevate last year’s debut into a full-blown cultural experience. Picture this: South Africa’s motorsport elite blazing down the track, live music pulsing through the crowd, luxe lounges, and a festival vibe that lingers into the night. Last year’s event left fans buzzing, but this year, the South African Endurance Series is setting the bar even higher, bringing together high-speed racing and electric entertainment like no other.

“The Kyalami 9 Hour is a celebration of passion, resilience, and the spirit of motorsport,” says Wayne Riddell, CEO of SAES. “We’re thrilled to deliver an unforgettable experience for fans and participants alike.” Headlining acts like Zakes Bantwini, Prime Circle, and Oscar Mbo make the music lineup just as heart-racing as the motorsport itself, joined by artists such as Lee Cole, Sun-El Musician, Daliwonga, and Tamara Dey to create a night that’s as much about the music as it is about the track.

But the Kyalami 9 Hour is more than just a race. Families can enjoy a Kids Zone complete with face painters, jumping castles, and balloon artists, while fashion and food lovers will find plenty at the Flea Market. Adventurous fans can even go head-to-head in go-kart races, and digital enthusiasts will witness a groundbreaking Virtual vs. Real race, where SIM racers compete on the same track at the same time as the real drivers.

Tickets offer experiences for every type of fan—from Friday general access at R150 to the all-access Fan Zone on Saturday for R450, and the VIP package at R1750, which includes paddock access, meals, and a grid walk. For those craving an elevated experience, the Private Lounge at Tempo Restaurant offers the best views and amenities.

For anyone who missed the debut or those ready to relive it all, Kyalami Nine Hour is back and better, promising a weekend that merges high-octane motorsport with South African culture. Don’t just watch from the sidelines—this is the event to be part of.
