South Africa is blessed with incredible creatives. Whether it is fashion, food, music or art, there are incredible and inspirational individuals who are making a noteworthy impact in their various fields.

On this Woman Crush Wednesday, we celebrate some of South Africa’s best female creatives.

Tyla (Music)
Popularly known for her viral hit song ‘Water’, Tyla (born Tyla Laura Seethal) is an impactful artist in South Africa’s music industry.

The star made history by being the youngest South African to win a Grammy award. Her music fuses a mix of genres and contains an irresistible dash of her creative flair. With her debut album coming soon, we’re definitely excited for more catchy tunes.

Lulama Wolf (Art)
Lulama ‘Wolf’ Mlambo has built a name for herself in Mzansi’s visual art scene. The visual artist makes art that is characterized by deep pigment techniques, history and the proof of life. With every art piece, she creatively tells important stories that beautifully uplift various spaces.

Shelly Mokoena is a creative taking up space in the design industry. The artist and designer is the founder of local womenswear brand, Connade.
The brand is bold and stylish, consisting of contemporary pieces that creatively merge clothing and art. The designer has showcased her clothing on various coveted runways, including Milan Fashion Week.

She has also worked with a number of brands including Woolworths. Through her creativity, talent and passion, she continues to create incredible fashion pieces.

Siba Mtongana (Food)
It is often said that cooking and creativity go hand-in-hand. Celebrity chef, Siba Mtongana, is a fountain of culinary creativity. The international and multi-award winning culinary extraordinaire has broken a number of industry barriers through her passion for food.

The many culinary hats she wears include being a restauranteur, author, and host of a cooking show. Undoubtedly, her passion and culinary creativity make a seat at her table a worthwhile aspiration.
