CIRCUS MAXIMUS TOUR: TRAVIS SCOTT SETS FNB STADIUM ON FIRE

The Travis Scott Circus Maximus Tour landed in South Africa on Saturday, 11 October — and it was nothing short of explosive. Hosted at the iconic FNB Stadium, the night proved why Scott is in a league of his own.

Come rain or shine, over 90 thousands of fans held their ground, waiting an extra hour for the star to hit the stage. The delay didn’t dull the energy — if anything, it made the crowd louder. From chanting his name to singing their favourite tracks at the top of their lungs and opening up mosh pits with impromptu dance battles, the vibe was electric before the show even began.

When Travis finally stormed onto the stage, the stadium erupted. Backed by wild pyrotechnics and dazzling visuals, he delivered a high-energy set that fused nostalgia and pure chaos in the best way possible. Fans went wild to classics from Rodeo, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, and Astroworld, while his latest album Utopia sent the mosh pits into overdrive.

One of the night’s most unforgettable moments came when Scott handpicked four lucky fans to join him on stage. The crowd roared — everyone wished it was them.

Later, Scott took to social media to salute the crowd, posting: “Nahhhhh y’all at the TONE.” And honestly, he wasn’t lying. From the private suites to the stands and the chaotic mosh pits, the energy was unmatched.

This wasn’t just a concert — it was a cultural moment. For many, it’s already being called one of the best live shows South Africa has ever experienced.
